Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a health-related field considered an asset (kin, OT, etc).
  • Experience working with a carrier or other third-party provider actively adjudicating disability claims.
  • Experience with non-occupational disability claims.
  • Experience adjudicating mental health and physical disability claims.
  • NIDMAR or other related professional designations would be an asset.
  • Excellent documentation and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with clients.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized with an analytical thinker.
  • Demonstrated excellence in the decision-making process especially when under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Home office space is required.
  • A car for daily use is a requirement.

CMGR-Case Manager

Status: Permanent Full-time • Schedule: Monday - Friday • Additional Information: Remote Position - Travel required to clients in Nova Scotia

Lifemark has an opening for a CMGR-Case Manager to cover the Region of Nova Scotia. As a Disability case manager you will be responsible for managing a case load of disability claims for a large unionized organization. You will also be working with employers, union representatives and physicians to obtain and review medical information. This will assist with potential next steps required to assist with facilitating treatment as required and return to work solutions. The Case Manager develops relationships with involved parties and provides expert advice to customers on a daily basis. Position is based out of your home office and includes travel within Nova Scotia to provide face to face case management with clients.
