Overview

We have an exciting opportunity in RBC’s Global Security. We’re looking for a seasoned individual that oversees the design, implementation, consumption, and validation of data science and machine learning solutions for RBC’s Global Security function. The solutions allow us identify trends, anticipate malicious events, perform pattern matching, discover new threats, and identify processes that are prone to automation while being aware of regulatory implications of its consumption. In this role, you will take full advantage of data to drive value for our security stakeholders across the bank.

What will you do?

You will be responsible for driving strategic value through data science, machine learning, and generative AI products by:

  • Collaborating with business units and gathering requirements.
  • Developing and executing product strategy and vision based on the business needs.
  • Leading product planning, development, and operations.
  • Building a high-performance culture through coaching and mentoring.
  • Coordinating with other technical and product teams.
  • Communicating the vision, strategy, and progress with senior leaders and the broader team.
What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or other related areas, or undergrad degree in said areas with equivalent experience in the industry.
  • Five or more years of professional experience working in data science, machine learning, or related disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of data science, machine learning, and genAI development lifecycle – from ideation to deployment and monitoring.
  • Experience working within agile framework.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice-to-have

  • Working experience in cyber security space and/or heavily regulated spaces (finance, insurance, health).
  • Experience managing data science teams.
