Overview

Our client, a large technology company, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Accounts Payable to lead and transform their AP function. This role will be responsible for centralizing our Accounts Payable operations, developing and implementing efficient processes, and ensuring timely and accurate payment of all vendor invoices.

Responsibilities
  • Centralize AP Operations: Develop and execute a strategy to consolidate AP functions across the organization. Standardize processes to ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Process Implementation and Optimization: Design and implement streamlined workflows and automation tools to enhance efficiency. Establish best practices for invoice processing, approval workflows, and payment management.
  • Timely Payments and Vendor Relations: Ensure all vendor invoices are processed and paid in a timely and accurate manner. Build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve disputes and maintain service levels.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the AP team to achieve departmental and organizational goals. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Maintain adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Provide regular reports and insights on AP performance metrics, cash flow, and cost savings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA designation is nice to have.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable or related financial operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of centralizing and optimizing AP functions in a large organization.
  • Strong understanding of AP systems, ERP platforms, and automation tools.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
