  • Demonstrated success leading teams and driving system improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting, payroll, purchasing, IT, and compliance.
  • Lead a team of 15+ across finance functions.
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and capital project oversight.
  • Ensure internal controls, regulatory compliance, and accurate reporting.
  • Partner with GM and Regional Director of Finance on financial strategy.
  • Optimize use of financial and hospitality systems.

Location: Mountain Resort (Relocation assistance available)

Reports To: General Manager (direct) and Regional Director of Finance (dotted line, Banff)

Salary: 125-140K CAD + subsidized housing (apartment on the lake) + 20% bonus (based on KPIs)

Overview

Resort with 400+ rooms seeks an experienced Director of Finance (CPA) to lead all finance, purchasing, and IT functions. This is a senior leadership role with direct impact on operations, capital projects, and system migrations (Opera Cloud).

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee accounting, payroll, purchasing, IT, and compliance.
  • Lead a team of 15+ (accounting, IT, purchasing).
  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and capital project oversight.
  • Ensure internal controls, regulatory compliance, and accurate reporting.
  • Partner with GM and Regional Director of Finance on financial strategy.
  • Optimize use of financial and hospitality systems (BirchStreet, Sun GFS, Watson, Hyperion, Opera Cloud, Silverware).
