Director of Marketing

As Director, Marketing, you will lead the strategic direction and execution of category and brand management across FGF Brands’ portfolio, including ACE Bakery, Stonefire, Santosh, and Simple Joys. You will serve as the steward and subject-matter expert for each brand, bringing a deep understanding of performance by retailer, channel, and geography. This role combines visionary leadership with hands‑on execution. You will champion brand strategy, protect brand integrity, and drive growth across North America in partnership with cross‑functional teams and agency partners. Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a multi‑brand portfolio across Retail, Mass, Club, and Chain channels in North America
  • Own brand strategy and execution, including comprehensive 360° brand plans (campaigns, media, in‑store displays, trade shows, sales tools, and POS)
  • Lead new product and brand launches from concept to market, including packaging development, promotional planning, and budget management
  • Support and drive geographic expansion of FGF Brands within the U.S. market
  • Measure and analyze campaign effectiveness to deliver against short‑ and long‑term business objectives
  • Act as the primary liaison with agency partners and internal cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with the Retail Sales team to align brand strategy with commercial objectives
  • Develop, manage, and optimize brand marketing budgets
  • Coach, mentor, and develop a team of direct reports
  • Travel up to 10% within Canada and the United States
  • Work on‑site 3 days per week
Required Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Brand, Product, and/or Channel Marketing within a high‑growth food or beverage organization
  • Strong understanding of best‑in‑class branding, both strategic and creative
  • Post‑secondary education in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Proven experience leveraging consumer insights to inform strategy and execution
  • Background in retail packaging and racking design, with a strong grasp of functional packaging requirements
  • Experience with print processes, product lifecycle management, and developing clear, effective project briefs
  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to lead cross‑departmental initiatives and manage external agencies and suppliers
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities
  • Familiarity with Nielsen and/or IRI data (preferred)
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and proactively drive results
