As an academic health science centre fully affiliated with the University of Toronto, Holland Bloorview brings together clinical excellence, cutting‑edge research, and exceptional education to create a world of possibility for children, youth, and families.

This is a pivotal opportunity to lead Holland Bloorview’s technology and security portfolio at a time of transformative change. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director, Information Technology and Security will lead the continuous optimization of the IT infrastructure and cybersecurity practices to support a Learning Health System and the hospital’s ambitious 2030 strategic plan. The portfolio spans enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and security governance, while enabling innovations in virtual care, AI, and precision health. The Director will lead a dedicated, skilled, and high‑performing team that is supported by a strong organizational culture and leadership commitment. With oversight of a multi‑million‑dollar budget and a diverse technical team, the Director will ensure technology is a strategic enabler of clinical excellence, research, and family‑centered care – building resilience and reliability across the organization.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished technology leader with deep expertise in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity within healthcare or similarly complex environments. They bring a proven track record of managing enterprise‑scale systems, mitigating cyber risk, and translating digital strategies into measurable improvements in care and operations. With advanced knowledge of security frameworks and certifications such as CISSP, they balance innovation with risk management – guiding the organization through emerging technologies like AI and precision health while ensuring compliance and resilience. A collaborative and strategic thinker, they excel at building relationships across clinical, research, and administrative teams, and are adept at managing large budgets and vendor partnerships. Above all, they are a trusted advisor and inclusive leader who fosters a culture of learning, security awareness, and continuous improvement, empowering Holland Bloorview to deliver on its mission of creating the most meaningful and healthy futures for children, youth, and families.
