Overview

Our client is a leading Canadian-based global health company. Based in Toronto, this newly created leadership role reports directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and will lead a team of two. The Director, Global Ethics & Compliance (Director) will shape and scale the company’s global ethics and compliance program. The mandate includes developing ethics and compliance risk assessments, mitigation strategies, training programs, auditing and monitoring activities, and workplace compliance investigations. The Director will design strategies and programs from the ground up, elevate the function’s profile, and ensure alignment with long-term business priorities during a period of transformation and growth. The Director will provide regional leadership through the Canada-based corporate governance structure and will oversee the global data privacy program, lead ethics and compliance activities tied to ESG initiatives, and manage investigations related to quality and matters reported through ethics and compliance channels, ensuring they are handled with transparency and integrity.

Responsibilities
  • Develop ethics and compliance risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Design and implement training programs, auditing and monitoring activities, and workplace investigations.
  • Lead and scale the global ethics and compliance program in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Provide regional leadership for Canada via the business ethics and compliance committee(s).
  • Oversee the global data privacy program and ESG-related ethics and compliance activities.
  • Manage investigations related to quality and reports submitted through ethics and compliance channels.
Qualifications
