DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT OPEN COMPETITION DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FREDERICTONThe Department of Health has an opening for the Director of Business Management within the Pharmaceutical Services Branch.As the Director of Business Management, you will: Lead the development, implementation, management, monitoring, and evaluation of New Brunswick public drug plans and cost containment strategies in order to provide cost-effective drug coverage to residents of New Brunswick; Oversee the administration of the NB Drug Plans by the third-party administrator. This includes directing the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards, and strategies while managing day-to-day operational questions and issues; Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including the pharmaceutical industry, community pharmacy, and the private insurance industry; Collaborate with federal, provincial, and territorial jurisdictions on pan-Canadian pharmaceutical initiatives; Lead or participate in special projects that support the Pharmaceutical Services Branch's Strategic Plan; Provide strategic advice on pharmaceutical issues to the Department of Health's senior leadership, other Government Departments, and other Department of Health branches. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy and A minimum of eight (8) years of recent progressive experience in different pharmacy practice settings, which includes a minimum of 3 years experience in drug plan management, pharmaceutical sector, or government. Candidates must be eligible for licensure with the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Written and spoken competence in English is required.
