Reporting to the Vice President Finance, the Director Finance and Treasury leads the management of the company’s liquidity and cash flow. This person ensures financial coverage and funding needs while optimizing inflows and outflows.

As a finance expert, the Director plays a key role in developing and managing the company’s business plan by building complex financial models that support strategic decision-making and value creation. The incumbent manages relationships with financial institutions, oversees due diligence reviews, analyzes financial performance, and prepares detailed reports for senior leadership. Expertise in the telecommunications industry is essential for success in this role.

This role also includes managing financial risks including foreign exchange exposure and overseeing investments.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions and negotiate financing terms.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a shared understanding of financial goals and performance indicators.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and telecommunications industry standards.
  • Work closely with the CEO, executive team, and other stakeholders to support the delivery of the business plan (optimal capital structure, cost of capital, and access to liquidity).

Assume all related responsibilities.

COMPETENCY PROFILE AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience/Certification
  • University degree in economics, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
  • CPA and CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certifications are a strong assets.
Other Qualifications
  • Proficient in financial modeling and financing instruments.
  • Comprehensive mastery of financial instruments (issued capital, debt, bonds), with a focus on optimizing capital structure.
  • Expertise in business valuation, including tangible and intangible asset valuation (spectrum), future profitability, and market pricing.
  • Skilled in analyzing balance sheets and financial statements.
  • In-depth knowledge of the telecommunications industry ecosystem and literacy.
  • Excellent proficiency of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience negotiating with banks and other financial institutions.
