Director, Employee Relations & Policies

Reporting to the SVP People & Culture Operations, this exciting opportunity will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing employee relations strategies and People & Culture Policies that promote a fair, compliant, and ethical workplace across all global locations.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Employee Relations Excellence
  • Leads a team of two Employee Relations Managers to oversee the above-property Internal Review process and resolution of complex and/or high-risk employee complaints with fairness and confidentiality.
  • Lead complex and highly sensitive Internal Reviews with SVP People & Culture Operations as needed.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on employee relations trends and risk mitigation strategies.
Data-Driven Insights
  • Analyze employee relations data and trends to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide regular reporting to executive leadership on ER metrics and policy compliance.
  • Lead the platform migration from Convercent to EQS ensuring that the system is set up to deliver reporting, diagnostic and analytic capabilities.
Risk Management and Compliance
  • Create quarterly and annual Board Reports on Employee Complaint trends and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor global employee concerns and proactively recommend specific and/or global interventions to mitigate risk.
  • Partner with VPs P&C and external legal counsel to track and oversee high risk legal cases.
Global People & Culture Policy Governance
  • Update and maintain a comprehensive global People & Culture Operations policy framework that supports compliance, equity, and organizational values.
  • Collaborate with field People & Culture leaders, Legal & Compliance to ensure policies are aligned with regulatory changes and business needs.
What You Bring:
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including substantial employee relations and policy development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • CHRP designation an asset.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of Ethics Reporting platforms (e.g. Convercent, Navex, EQS).
