Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Applied HVAC systems, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution setting.
  • Proven ability to build and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC applied equipment and technical applications.

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to fill the role of Director, Applied Products. This individual will own the performance and growth of our Applied Products portfolio, acting as a key liaison between our vendors, product teams, and regional sales leaders.

The ideal candidate is a trusted, results-oriented professional with deep applied HVAC experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You must be autonomous, data-driven, and comfortable building and executing business plans. You will lead the integration of vendor targets into regional sales strategies and work closely with our Sales Directors to deliver measurable results.

This is a high-impact role with national visibility. You will analyze sales performance using Power BI tools, identify regional and segment gaps, and proactively support our Regional Sales Directors to create action plans to drive sales, improve market positioning, and strengthen vendor partnerships.

What you will accomplish with us
Strategic Business Development & Sales Execution
  • Support Regional Sales Directors to develop and execute business plans aligned with corporate objectives and vendor targets.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Directors to integrate vendor quotas into their local sales strategies.
  • Monitor execution of the plan and ensure alignment through regular follow-ups with the sales leadership team.
  • Analyze sales performance using BI tools to identify underperforming regions or verticals and implement corrective strategies.
Vendor Relations & Growth Management
  • Manage commercial and strategic relationships with key exclusive vendors.
  • Lead contract and representation agreement negotiations.
  • Align supplier expectations with internal capabilities and sales targets.
Sales Support & Market Leadership
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Applied Products, providing advanced technical and commercial support.
  • Support sales teams in developing complex mechanical designs and in navigating key project opportunities.
  • Deliver training to sales teams to enhance product & application knowledge and technical proficiency.
Marketing & Promotion
  • Lead marketing initiatives, including the development of sales tools, catalogues, and launch strategies.
  • Act as the internal ambassador for Applied Products, promoting visibility and buy-in across all regions.
What You Bring to Our Team
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Applied HVAC systems, preferably in a manufacturer, distributor, or contractor setting.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or equivalent experience (DCS accepted).
  • Proven ability to build and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC applied equipment, technical applications, and competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Comfortable working with executives, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter with high autonomy, business acumen, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Power BI and other data analysis tools.
  • Fluent in English. Bilingual (French / English) preferred.
