Under the direction of the Director of Care and in consultation with the Food Services Manager, the Dietitian is responsible for developing and monitoring resident diets, assisting with menu planning and providing individual nutrition and hydration care.

***Please note this position requires only one work day in a month***

Responsibilities

1. Provide dietary services in accordance with company guidelines and federal and provincial laws and regulations.
2. Complete assessments of our Residents and adapt nutritional plans as needed.
3. Implement personalized nutrition strategies.
4. Deliver client nutrition recommendations to nurses and aides.
5. Provide nutrition education and counseling for patients.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Registered and in good standing with the College of Dieticians of BC.
2. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
3. Exceptional interpersonal skills with peers, residents, visitors, and operational partners to uphold our Optima Living values.
4. Experience as a consultant dietitian is considered an asset.
