Job summary

A global food and facilities services provider in Ontario is seeking candidates for a role focused on customer service in a food service environment. Responsibilities include assisting with food portioning and ensuring accurate nutrition for residents by collaborating with healthcare teams. Ideal candidates have experience in food service and must obtain a Safe Food Handler's Certificate. Flexibility to work weekends is needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or as a dietary aide preferred.
• Fluency in English; bilingual/multilingual is a plus.
• Must obtain the Safe Food Handler's Certificate.

• Responsible for portioning food and assisting cooks.
• Work with health professionals to ensure accurate patient nutrition.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintains friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
• Adaptable to customer needs.
• Responsible for resident customer service, portioning food, setting up drink carts, clearing tables, washing dishes, setting tables and assisting the cooks where needed
• Uses software to record patient orders
• Maintains general knowledge of therapeutic diets to ensure meal orders are processed accurately
• Works closely with doctors, nurses, and the Food & Nutrition team to ensure accurate patient nutrition
• Maintains the privacy, safety, and dignity of each customer by observing client confidentiality and by closely adhering to safety and sanitation standards
• Maintains compliance with ARAMARK’s standards of operation. Adheres to ARAMARK’s Business Conduct Policy at all times. Maintains all records and reports to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and codes.

Qualifications

• Must commit to work every second weekend
• Experience in food service, as a dietary aide, or in a related field preferred
• Needs to communicate fluently in the English language, bilingual or multilingual a plus.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Comfort with using technology including web-based software - Mealsuite, but will be trained
• Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
• Must have or obtain the Safe Food Handler's Certificate
