Job Description

• Operate a scissor deck platform safely and efficiently in underground development headings.
• Install ground support systems (bolting, screening, meshing, etc.) as per engineering specifications.
• Assist with ventilation installation, pipework, and utilities required for development.
• Drill and blast preparation support, including marking, scaling, and mucking assistance.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and report any mechanical issues with the equipment.
• Ensure the workplace is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Follow all health and safety protocols and site-specific procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate activities.
• Support other underground development activities as directed by the supervisor.
• Complete daily reports and logbooks accurately.

Job Requirements

• Completion of a recognized mining training program or equivalent work experience in underground mining
• Possession of Common Core certification
