We are seeking a highly motivated and detail orientated Developer to join our team in the Edmonton area or Calgary area. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing business execution through requirements gathering, process development and systems implementation.

This role is ideal for someone with 2-4 years of development experience who enjoys coding, problem-solving, and learning new technologies. You'll implement components, middleware, and features designed by the architect, while being expected to understand how different parts of the system fit together and adapt to changing requirements. Over time, you'll have the opportunity to grow into a feature-owning developer as your skills and confidence develop.

What You’ll Do
  • Implement front-end components, middleware, and APIs based on designs and standards provided by the software architect
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code according to team guidelines
  • Resolve bugs and issues in existing internal systems
  • Help identify issues during User Acceptance Testing
  • Understand how different parts of the system interact and follow architectural patterns
  • Adapt to evolving requirements and priorities under guidance
  • Work with both Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases depending on project needs
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and debugging/troubleshooting
  • Learn and grow by working closely with the architect and senior developers
  • Provide system training and guidance to users when required
What We’re Looking For
  • 2-4 years of professional software development experience
  • Ability to travel internationally for site visits and system rollouts when required

  • Strong understanding of SQL, including experience with PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web application architecture
  • Experience with personnel management, personnel profiles, employee record management and/or occupational health and safety system administration
  • Experience using Entity Framework (EF) Core for data access
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to think in abstractions and understand how components and systems fit together
  • Willingness to learn, follow architectural guidance, and adapt to evolving requirements
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Hangfire or similar background job scheduling systems
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps workflows
  • Experience in the construction, infrastructure, and/or electrical utility industries
  • Experience with SharePoint 2019+ or other document controls systems
