Job description

On behalf of our client in the Banking Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Desktop Technician.

When stationed in an ecosystem, you will work closely with Community Leads to provide end-level support for the citizen group based there.

You act as the single point of contact for all technology-related issues.

Provide supervised systems-level support for production endpoint systems, as well as development systems.

This support includes technical assistance to users, resolution and prevention of problems in a production environment, and systems-level software installation and updates.

You will also act as a technical liaison with other departments for assistance with implementing new projects.

Manage customer issues, resolve them directly or engage internal resources to do so.

Be hands-on during mid to complex project deployments into production.

This includes supporting assigned systems by acting as an internal consultant on infrastructure and providing suggestions for solutions to systems problems of high complexity.

You have a passion to ensure all tasks are completed timely, with all tasks logged through our ServiceNow ticketing system.

Be empathetic and portray an accurate sense of urgency and professionalism when interacting with customers.

Share information and collaborate with team members to find innovative solutions.

Tasks vary from troubleshooting to liaising with different groups and business lines.

Desktop Technician – Mandatory Skills

3-5 years of experience in a desktop technician role or similar in a medium to large corporate environment.

3+ years of hands-on experience utilizing problem-solving and decision-making skills to provide technical support and customer service in a fast-paced, high-demand office environment.

2+ years of hands-on technical experience resolving issues related to Windows 10 OS for PCs & Macintosh iOS / macOS.

Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge on all aspects of end-user computing, handling complex issues involving PCs, laptops, tablets, networking, mobile devices, and printers.

Working knowledge of Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel).

Possess excellent organizational skills to manage multiple initiatives.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proven customer service focus.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a large team.

Strong relationship and people-oriented skills

Strong communication skills (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external partners and vendors.

Post-secondary degree in computer science or a relevant field.

Desktop Technician - Nice to Have Skills

Previous Banking / Financial Institution experience is an asset.
