Description

Responsibilities
  • As a key participant on the provincial leadership team, ensure exceptional brokerage support to agents in their representation of clients and customers.
  • Act in the capacity of the Designated Provincial Managing Broker / Broker of Record.
  • Conduct training to enhance agents’ knowledge of contracts, risk management, licensing, and provincial real estate law.
  • Provide timely responses to agent requests for assistance and perform contract reviews to ensure legal and contractual compliance.
  • Coordinate distribution of inbound mail; liaise between agents and internal departments as needed.
  • Hold periodic face-to-face meetings to cultivate trust and collaboration; promote safety and well-being of all agents.
  • Uphold and promote the core values of eXp Realty: collaboration, transparency, integrity, agility, agent-centric focus, and relationship orientation.
  • Adhere to the employee/employer model and leadership guidelines; engage with the eXp World Campus and cloud environment.
  • Engage with local, provincial, and national real estate associations and act as the primary point person for eXp’s relationship with associations and MLSs.
  • Manage provincial trust accounts in accordance with provincial law; ensure compliance with laws and regulations including license law.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Operations Manager, the eXp Legal Department, and others to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Monitor provincial performance goals and enforce accountability; implement risk management tools and the Risk Management Program for agents.
  • Maintain and enhance provincial brokerage operations manuals; oversee customer-facing marketing activities.
  • Mediation of issues between eXp agents in the province when required; support innovation in how the company supports its agent base.
  • Support Growth Leaders by engaging with prospective agents, groups, and teams; work with Growth Leaders for provincial success.
  • Provide monthly reports to leadership on brokerage operations indicators; guide managing brokers and administrative staff as applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; conduct ongoing training on contracts, risk management, licensing, and compliance to FINTRAC Manual, Privacy Policy, DNC requirements, and the Competition Act.
  • Consult with agents on complex transaction issues and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Encourage agents to utilize eXp tools and platforms as their primary resource.
  • Maintain responsibility for any EXPI entity in the area as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Active real estate license with continuing education credits in real estate management and legal compliance.
  • Member in good standing of the Canadian Real Estate Association and local council.
  • Designated Managing Broker with adherence to council requirements.
  • Strong experience in real estate compliance activities, including knowledge of provincial and federal law, FINTRAC, Privacy Act, CREA Code of Ethics, and MLS Rules and Regulations.
  • Working knowledge of SkySlope is preferred.

Compensation

The starting base pay for this position is $85,000 CAD per year in our lowest geographic cost of living market. Base pay is part of total compensation and may vary by location, experience, skills, and training.
