Overview

Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced FINEOS Functional Analyst / Business Analyst to lead and support the end-to-end implementation of a new insurance products related to credit protection on the FINEOS Claims platform. This role will be pivotal in driving business requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and go-live activities. The ideal candidate will have strong FINEOS product knowledge, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a hands-on approach to platform configuration and customization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation of a new credit protection claims product on the FINEOS platform, including platform configuration and business process setup from scratch.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT leaders, product owners, and development teams to gather, define, and document detailed business and functional requirements.
  • Translate requirements into FINEOS configurations, workflows, and custom rules using the Codev framework.
  • Configure and manage FINEOS modules, with a primary focus on Claims. Familiarity with other modules like Absence is a plus.
  • Develop and maintain custom business rules, events, workflows, and resolve related issues across the implementation lifecycle.
  • Work closely with integration teams to ensure smooth interfacing of FINEOS with external enterprise systems such as policy admin, billing, and CRM platforms.
  • Prepare and execute test plans and test cases; support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production go-live readiness.
  • Coordinate with FINEOS vendor and internal teams to align product roadmap, feature usage, and upgrade planning.
  • Support data migration activities by writing or validating SQL scripts and queries for mapping and conversion.
  • Keep current with FINEOS platform updates and best practices, and apply them to enhance solution design and implementation quality.
  • Act as a bridge between business and technical teams, providing guidance, clarifying requirements, and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • 5–10 years of experience as a FINEOS Functional Analyst or Business Analyst with proven track record of greenfield implementations or major enhancements.
  • Deep understanding of insurance business processes, especially in Credit Protection, Disability, or Life insurance claims.
  • Hands-on experience in FINEOS platform configuration and Codev framework for business rules, workflows, and UI customization.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills to work across cross-functional teams, including remote and global stakeholders.
  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns and configuring FINEOS to interact with other applications.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data validation, migration queries, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced implementation environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Preferred
  • Prior experience implementing credit protection insurance or related financial protection products on a COTS claims platform.
  • Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies and tools.
  • FINEOS certification or training preferred.
