Role Overview
The Capital Markets Analyst (Contractor) will support data remediation activities across Capital Markets systems, focusing on client data integrity, data quality defect resolution, and strengthening data sourcing across SPS and ADS environments.
This role requires hands-on Capital Markets data experience and strong analytical capabilities to investigate and resolve issues impacting downstream reporting, controls, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and remediate Capital Markets client data issues across SPS and ADS (Authoritative Data Source) environments.
- Perform data investigations related to trade, product, market, and client reference data.
- Conduct root-cause analysis of data quality issues impacting reporting and governance processes.
- Support DQ rule execution, validation, and documentation aligned to Capital Markets CDEs.
- Collaborate with Operations, Technology, and Business partners to resolve data defects.
- Track progress with Technology, Ops, Risk, Market Risk Data Management, and Finance partners.
- Document remediation findings, impacts, root causes, data flows, lineage gaps, corrective actions, and closure evidence for governance and audit use.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Capital Markets data experience across trade, product, pricing, or client datasets, and trade lifecycle.
- Experience working with SPS/ADS ecosystems (e.g., ICI, APMS, GMTC, SDR, CLIENTSM, Calypso, WSS, IMAGINE, Murex, Endur, Trader-EH, GMTC, SDR, MHUB, Fenergo, CMCIF, Product Master, or GEMS) and enterprise data flows.
- Strong understanding of client, trade, product, and market data structures.
- Understanding of identifiers, pricing feeds, GL mapping, market data, and counterparty data structures.
- Ability to perform detailed data investigations and reconcile inconsistencies across systems.
- Strong SQL or data profiling skills; comfort working through complex lineage and mapping issues.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting regulatory reporting (FR2052a, FDIC 148, SCCL, CCAR, IFRS9).
- Strong understanding of data lineage, metadata management, Data Quality, or CDE frameworks.
- Prior work resolving audit or operational risk findings.
