Work Model: Hybrid, 1 day per week onsite in downtown Ottawa

Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance: Secret (Required)

Position Summary

Lead the technical architecture, development, and implementation of innovative data solutions leveraging cloud technologies, AI/ML, and robotic process automation (RPA). Drive our client's data strategy to enhance decision-making, system integration, and operational efficiency. We are seeking a strategic and experienced Lead Data Solutions Architect to drive the design and implementation of scalable, innovative data and AI solutions. This role will lead data architecture efforts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and guide enterprise-wide data initiatives leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable infrastructure and solutions for data science and analytics
• Develop and lead enterprise data strategy, identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization
• Collaborate with IT, business, and data science teams to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions
• Champion the integration of emerging technologies including AI, LLMs, ML, RPA, and cloud (Azure)
• Ensure alignment with data governance, architectural standards, and organizational strategy
• Provide technical oversight and guidance on complex system integration and transformation projects
• Maintain external partnerships and internal stakeholder relationships to drive data innovation

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years in IT with 5+ years in solution architecture for large-scale projects
• 2+ years leading advanced data science/AI initiatives in a cloud environment (preferably Azure)
• Strong communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills

Preferred

• Experience in business transformation, IT security, project management, and virtualization
