Salary: $82,722.60 per year. Type: Permanent Full‑Time.

Position Summary

The Data Manager reports to the Director of Policy and Data Management and is responsible for assessing, improving, and managing the data needs of the organization to support high‑quality services for children, families, and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, improve, and manage the organization’s data systems, ensuring cultural, legal, and ethical standards and First Nations data sovereignty principles.
  • Develop reporting tools and best practices that streamline services and strengthen outcomes for children and families across Canada.
  • Provide training and support to staff, communicate system changes to internal and external audiences, and lead research into modern data solutions.
  • Supervise and guide the Data Analyst and Data Clerk roles.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in data management and/or analysis with various database systems.
  • Knowledge of OCAP principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functional teams.
  • High level of problem‑solving and analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of Bill C‑92 and Miyo Pimatisowin Act highly desirable.
  • Experience working within an Indigenous framework or desire to learn and grow in this environment highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of child welfare systems, regulations, and best practices.
