The role involves supporting data and analytics at Scotiabank’s Global Contact Centres by developing ELT/ETL pipelines for advanced analytics (AI/ML). The primary focus is collaborating with the Customer Insights & Analytics Team and the Global Data & Analytics Team to conduct ad hoc data analyses, develop data pipelines on Airflow, and assist the MIS & Reporting team in designing and evolving departmental reporting platforms and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop BI solutions addressing operational needs.
2. Integrate multiple data sources across contact center platforms to build end-to-end BI products.
3. Define metrics/KPIs and develop customer insights models.
4. Assist in architecture and infrastructure design for MIS & Data Analytics teams.
5. Apply analytics tools and methodologies to generate actionable insights, build models, and provide strategic recommendations.
6. Develop ETLs on On-Prem and Cloud using Python, Spark, DBT, Airflow, BigQuery, SQL, and Power BI.
7. Produce analyses, deep-dives, and drill-downs on specific issues or opportunities.
8. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings.
9. Support coaching and upskilling peers in advanced analytics.
10. Streamline and automate existing products to enable development of new solutions.

Required Skills:

1. 3+ years in business intelligence, analytics, data engineering, or data science.
2. 2+ years in business analysis or client relationship roles.
3. 3+ years in reporting, UI design, and BI solutioning.
4. Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and ETL processes.
5. Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and database design.
6. Knowledge of cloud architecture (GCP, Azure, AWS) and Big Data tools.
7. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
8. Experience with NLP, UNIX shell scripting, Docker, CI/CD, Airflow, Kubernetes, and telephony data (assets).
9. French and/or Spanish fluency is an asset.
