  • CCS designation or CBSA professional qualification considered an asset.

Mandate

Reporting to the Customs Services Manager, the Assistant Manager is responsible for managing team processes and ensuring the appropriate and efficient delivery of customs processing services to Delmar clients, as well as, communicating effectively with those clients both over the phone and in writing to maintain client satisfaction and to ensure company goals and targets are met. The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing customs transactions for a portfolio of clients. Precise revision and verification of customs documents in order to clear shipments is essential. Addressing client issues and maintaining positive relationships with them as well as with relevant government authorities are also integral parts of the supervisor's role.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Customs Brokerage operations
  • Experience with staff management considered a strong asset
  • Strong knowledge of customs regulations and programs, classification, valuation, NAFTA and other FTA's
  • CCS designation or CBSA professional qualification considered an asset
