Job description
Overview

Open Vacancy: This role is a current, active position and we are accepting applications.

We’re on a mission to upgrade stuffy, corporate B2B marketing – and we need a Creative Director to help us get there!

This isn't your typical Creative Director role - it's a chance to join an emerging creative marketing agency as a conceptual-first leader, pushing the charge to create great work in a typically stuffy and overly corporate space.

As the Creative Director, you’ll champion the creative vision and strategically direct the execution of all creative deliverables. You’ll push clients to think outside the box and to make more effective marketing materials. You’ll lead, guide, and mentor freelance creatives to make their best work. It’s your job to ensure we deliver excellent work – no matter how large or small the project.

We are the agency built for multinational B2B companies. We work with clients around the world to build market authority, bolster authenticity, and increase trust. We’re experts at making the complex simple, and turning intelligence, experience, and expertise into marketable products.

What does that really mean? We deliver workshops, writing, design, animation, video production, and web development services. We’re always working across a number of different media, which makes every day unique.

In this role, you’ll be challenged to bring a global, intellectual lens to everything you do.

Responsibilities
  • Get to know clients. Understand their current needs and anticipate future needs. Understand the complex b2b world they live and work in, and ideate and supervise the creation of work that resonates in this world.
  • Act as a creative consultant during project intake calls and work with the internal team to generate innovative, creative, interesting, and novel marketing solutions to client problems.
  • Don’t just take client requests at face value – question them and dig past what the client says they want, to find what they actually need and create the best possible solution for client problems.
  • Assist a Project Manager and Account Manager to scope projects, suggesting positions/specialties required to accomplish projects, bringing knowledge of reasonable market rates and amount of time typically required to accomplish tasks (e.g. copywriting, script writing, design, graphics, animation, filming, video editing, etc.)
Creative Leadership & Production Governance
  • Creative Vision & Briefing: You are responsible for translating complex business goals into high-level briefs that provide the North Star for our freelance teams and clear expectations for our clients.
  • Creative Talent Catalyst: Act as a high-level mentor and "whisperer" to external talent, building deep-trust relationships that empower freelancers to push past "good" and deliver the best, most strategically rigorous work of their careers.
  • Creative Stewardship: Oversee the production lifecycle to ensure efficiency and conceptual consistency. You provide the high-level input and creative direction necessary to keep projects aligned with the brief from kickoff to completion.
  • Quality Governance: Act as the final authority on creative excellence. You define and uphold the agency’s quality standards, ensuring every deliverable—regardless of scale—is a sophisticated reflection of the client’s brand and our strategic intent.
  • Strategic Presentation: Lead the "sell" of the creative work. You will guide clients through our creative logic, presenting deliverables through a strategic lens that highlights why that creative direction/ execution is the best solution given the overall problem the client is looking to solve.
  • Production Architecture: Oversee the creative planning for film and content production, partnering with a production company on execution. You define the visual and narrative requirements, ensuring every shoot captures the essential story needed for a successful campaign.
  • Global Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the agency’s creative leadership on the global stage. You will lead high-stakes workshops, supervise key productions, and build deep trust with international stakeholder groups.
Operations
  • Assist the team to streamline operations, creating SOPs where necessary and iteratively improving project process and delivery quality from project to project.
  • Assist with general business operations, including business development and project management, on an as-needed basis.
Required Skills
  • 10+ years of experience in an agency or in-house creative direction role with an emphasis on B2B marketing and strategy.
  • Proven ability to manage freelancers, and agencies working in a creative capacity, including delivering feedback, and approving deliverables.
  • Mastery of omni-channel tactics (Video, Digital, Social, Web).
  • Impeccable storytelling and communication skills. Keen eye for detail when it comes to spelling and grammar.
  • Brings a high-energy, infectious enthusiasm to the creative process that motivates internal teams and clients alike.
