The Cost Accountant will play a critical role in managing and analyzing the cost structures within our organization to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective cost control. This position involves developing and maintaining cost accounting systems, including standard costing and job costing methodologies, to provide detailed insights into product and operational costs. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to analyze variances, support budgeting processes, and recommend cost‑saving initiatives. By leveraging ERP systems and financial software, the Cost Accountant will ensure data integrity and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Ultimately, this role aims to enhance the company’s financial performance by delivering precise cost information that supports strategic decision‑making.

  • Perform accounting: Cost system setup / Monthly closing (DL+DM+OH allocation)
  • Control: Stock take / Impairment review / Cost‑saving execution
  • Reporting: ERP cost deliverables. Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems including standard and job costing.
  • Analyze cost variances and prepare detailed reports to support management decision‑making. Actual vs. Std cost variance drilling
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and finance teams to gather and validate cost data. Bridge production‑Purchasing‑Warehouse data
  • Maintain accurate general ledger entries related to cost accounting and ensure reconciliation.
  • Utilize ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP and JD Edwards to manage cost data and generate reports.
  • Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities related to cost accounting.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis by providing cost‑related insights.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements within the cost accounting function.
To be a qualified candidate you must meet the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in cost accounting within a business services or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of standard costing, job costing, and variance analysis techniques.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, specifically (SAP / U8 / Kingdee) and MS Excel.
  • Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
