The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in corporate commercial law, possess strong drafting and negotiation skills, and be motivated to grow their practice. Duties include drafting agreements, providing legal advice, and building client relationships. The position offers a supportive culture with the possibility of remote work on occasion.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years experience in corporate commercial law.
  • In good standing with the Alberta Law Society.
  • Ability to work independently and manage cases.

Responsibilities

Overview

On behalf of our client, a large downtown law firm, we are recruiting an Associate to join the corporate commercial department.

Firm has an excellent reputation for client focused service, good culture and will have a file load for you to take on. Those who want to develop their own client base will have a higher bonus structure. Position is in office with the option for remote on occasion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements
  • Provide legal advice on business law matters
  • Support clients with incorporations, reorganizations, and transactions
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
Key Competencies
  • 2-5 years of corporate commercial law experience
