Our client in the manufacturing sector is seeking a full-time/perm CMM Programmer for executing accurate dimensional inspection, CMM programming, and metrology analysis to support automotive manufacturing, quality validation, and customer requirements.

Location: Belleville, Ontario - on site

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute validation, verification, and production dimensional testing for manufactured components
  • Operate CNC and manual CMMs and 3D scanners; perform and interpret first-piece layouts and dimensional checks
  • Develop and run CMM programs interfacing with CAD models
  • Perform GD&T-based inspections, free‑state alignment, and vehicle datum schemes
  • Prepare clear, accurate dimensional documentation for internal teams and external customers
  • Coordinate and monitor lab equipment calibration and maintain records in Compliant Pro
  • Support Engineering, Tooling, and external customers with completed layouts and analysis
  • Conduct DOE participation, capability studies, and SPC-related activities
  • Perform initial gauge layouts, certification/rejection reporting, and annual gauge certifications
  • Complete annual layouts as per schedule and maintain lab 5S standards
  • Manage test samples, including return or disposal per procedure
Requirements
  • 2–3 years post‑secondary education in a technical field
  • 1–3 years of automotive manufacturing experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in metrology, statistical concepts, and GD&T
  • Hands‑on experience with CMM software/tools such as DCC‑CMM, MCOSMOS, 3D‑TOL, or PolyWorks
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Minitab
  • Experience with metrology equipment and inspection software considered an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
