Now Hiring: Cook (Full-Time, Monday to Friday)

Location: Olly Fresco's 18 York Street

Hours: Weekdays only, early morning to mid-afternoon

We're looking for a reliable and experienced Cook to join our Cold Kitchen team. This is a full-time position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in quality, consistency, and cleanliness.

Overview
Responsibilities
  • Operate Rational Oven and other commercial kitchen equipment
  • Cut, chop, and dice vegetables as part of daily prep work
  • Prepare sandwiches, wraps, fruit packs, and salad bowls according to standardized recipes and portioning guidelines
  • Label, date, and package all products accurately for distribution
  • Rotate stations (sandwiches, salads, fruit packs, packaging) for balanced workload
  • Assist in receiving and storing produce, proteins, and packaging materials
  • Clean kitchen thoroughly at the end of each day
  • Collaborate with hot kitchen and other departments when items overlap (e.g., rice, proteins)
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen
  • Must have knowledge on the use of a Rational Oven
  • Previous catering experience
  • Proficient knife skills and food preparation techniques
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Must have a valid Food Handler Certificate
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Punctual, dependable, and physically able to stand for long hours
