A Canadian wine company is seeking a Contract Sales Representative to manage sales strategies and relationships within their territory. The ideal candidate should have a degree, at least 2 years of sales experience, and a valid driver's license. Contract Sales Representative will be responsible to manage and execute our provincial sales strategy with a group of customers in their territory. The Sales Representative will need to grow our portfolio sales at all points of sale while building and maintaining professional relationships with customers and colleagues.
Manage territory to maximize coverage in order to achieve objectives/targets per visit, service current products, secure distribution & expand the sale of Arterra products in the ANBL, Grocery, and On-Premise channels.
To ensure that the annual sales volume, revenue and margin contribution of territory supports the achievement of the provincial plan.
Plan and set priorities for each customer visit in order to achieve organizational goals.
Prioritizing objectives and company strategies (new products, promotions etc.), the Sales Representative ensures to have all information, knowledge and documents necessary to communicate, present and secure buy-in from the customer
Negotiate display space/shelf space/ fridge space/ listings within stores and inventory levels
Execute store audits to ensure all marketing activities are being executed as planned and report any breaches to management
Increase our product distribution in all retail & licensee locations
Ensure proper management of all paperwork and reports as required
Communicate any facts and situations within territory that could impact Arterra’s business to the Sales Manager
Identify new opportunities and develop action plans to address them
Maintain excellent relationships with all customers & colleagues
This will be an 18 month contract
University degree or College Diploma
2+ years’ experience in sales, experience in retail or licensee industry a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.), and Internet
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ideal candidate will be based in the territory
Able to spend majority of time traveling within territory
Personal vehicle for company use with reimbursement
Ideal candidate will be fluent in both spoken French & English, but not required
Wine knowledge/WSET certifications a plus, but not required
Excellent communication skills

Compensation: Budgeted Range – ($61,125.00 - $79,103.00) The budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
