Job Description:

The Continuous Improvement Specialist acts as a catalyst in driving loss elimination and operational excellence at the manufacturing site.

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor ’ s Degree in Engineering, Science, and Related/Equivalent Experience.
  • 3+ years in a Manufacturing Operations environment (GMP).
  • MSE/TPM advanced capability in particular FI, FMOS and AM, coaching and training.
  • Project management capability/experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black or Green Belt Certification (asset).
  • MS Office and PowerBI experience.
  • Problem Solving and CI Mindset.
  • General Organizational and business knowledge.
What will be your key responsibilities?

The CI Specialist will structurally optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of operations by:

  • Focusing on back to standard performance within FMOS through building problem solving capability on the shop floor through coaching.
  • Defining new standards in key FI initiatives by executing complex problem solving.
  • Actively participates in daily FMOS meetings. Provides data for selected machines and communicates action plans and completed work effectively.
  • Driving action creation and closure within the FMOS process.
  • Viewed as MSE/TPM/CIL/CL expert of related equipment and is willing to discuss, coach and train on this equipment.
  • Owns production related continuous improvement project pipeline.
  • Makes logical decisions based on quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Facilitates the Line Loss Analysis to drive OEE improvements.
  • Facilitates SMED events and implements corresponding actions to drive OEE improvement.
  • Driving continuous improvement of equipment reliability, quality, and performance.
  • Support defect eliminations through thorough root cause investigations and escalation where required.
  • Completing required paperwork related to safety and quality.
