The Role

FloSports is looking to hire a Canadian-based Content Creator for FloHockey who is dedicated to providing hockey fans with the experience they deserve. The ideal candidate lives and breathes hockey, especially in the junior, college, and professional ranks leading into the NHL, and has professional or extensive personal content creation experience. You will bring innovative and impactful story ideas to life through written and video content with a heavy emphasis on social media. You are passionate about influencing the hockey community, have a nose for compelling storylines, and understand how to grow your voice as an authority in these communities.

Responsibilities

• Create impactful and high-quality social media and web content, both written and video, from idea phase to publishing.
• Create compelling, platform-specific content that resonates with the target audience and maximizes engagement.
• Spotlight top athletes and personalities in your sport with interesting stories.
• Travel to cover live events, interview coaches and athletes, create engaging social content, and feature the biggest stories of each event.
• Collaborate in content creation meetings to brainstorm strategies that grow and engage the community.
• Monitor fans and key figures to continuously improve by eliciting and listening to feedback.
• Manage multiple content projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong multitasking ability.
• Stay on top of hockey news beneath the NHL to provide comprehensive coverage.
• Act as a social media influencer and help connect with other entities to promote your content.
