Job Description
  • Load, unload and transport construction materials
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades
  • Mix, pour and spread materials
  • Assist heavy equipment operators
  • Pave and rake asphalt
  • Assist in concrete constructions and demolition
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Take direction from supervisors to perform various labour tasks (setup and cleanup, jackhammering, pressure washing, pouring concrete)
  • Work with minimal supervision
Requirements
  • Education: Not required.
  • Experience: Between 1-3 years of construction-related experience. On-the-job training provided. Tools experience is an asset.
  • Driver's license: All workers must have a valid driver's license.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Personal suitability: Initiative, accuracy, judgment, efficient interpersonal skills, team player, organized.
  • Work site environment: Outdoors, at heights, night work. Working outdoors in various weather conditions and on diverse terrain. Occasional night shifts. Exposure to concrete dust (specialized PPE provided).
  • Weight handling: Frequent physical exertion, including lifting weights of 50 lbs or more.
  • Language: Intermediate of English required. Understand and take instructions with the team.
  • Tools/Machinery- uniforms: Provided by employer. Must bring Steel-Toe Boots.

  • Schedule of work: 7:00 am - 5:00 PM.
  • 30 minute lunch break unpaid.
  • 2 healthy coffee breaks – paid.
