This is an opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance integrates and coordinates the delivery of all main MEH, cabling and associated support services to enable different contractors to work as a single entity for the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's 2,500 rooms.

The role

As an HVAC Construction Engineer, you'll lead, manage and motivate the team through implementation of best practice, support continuous improvement programmes to improve process/procedures and ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site license requirements. Day to day, you'll deliver HVAC Construction Workpacks to support the MEH Alliance programme, and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the construction life cycle of the Project.

Responsibilities
  • Enable the use of the Procon system to support construction works and progress reporting of the MEH Alliance.
  • Enable the requesting and compliance of the MEH Alliance for the Work Authorisation and Permit systems operated by NNB.
  • Coordinate safe access routing to workfaces to support the MEH Alliance construction works.
  • Coordinate topographical and other surveying required to support the MEH Alliance construction works.
  • Prioritisation and ownership of documentation to enable construction works as per the level 4 plan (e.g. T-3 months prior to works).
  • Ensure documents are compliant with latest works information and other MEH documentation.

This is a full-time role with 37 hours per week based on the Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset.

Essential experience
  • Experience working on major construction projects with a proven track record in a highly regulated sector and knowledge and experience in Safe Systems of Work.
  • Experience delivering and operating at Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience working within Joint Ventures.
Qualifications
  • HNC qualification or equivalent vocational training and experience of installing HVAC systems.
Security clearance
