A community-focused church in Kelowna seeks a Communications Manager to lead strategic communication efforts. This role involves managing branding, overseeing digital presence, and directing creative projects. Ideal candidates are creative leaders and organized team players with strong communication skills. Benefits include a competitive salary of $65,000 per year and comprehensive healthcare plans.
Shape the message. Expand Trinity’s reach with clarity, creativity, and purpose.
Trinity Church believes communication is more than information; it’s ministry. It’s how we invite people into community, reveal what God is doing, and inspire people to take their next step of faith.
We’re looking for a strategic and creative leader to serve as our Communications Manager—someone who can help us communicate clearly and meaningfully across every channel and platform. If you’re a gifted storyteller, a collaborative leader, a creative, visionary thinker, and an organized leader, this could be your next step.
In this role, you will lead the charge in crafting and coordinating Trinity’s voice and messaging while continuing to push forward our current brand standard. You’ll collaborate with ministry leaders, creatives, staff, volunteers and creative contractors to ensure that everything we communicate—online and offline—reflects who we are and what God is doing.
Public Information Flow & Channel Strategy
Provide leadership in prioritizing and distributing key information through the most effective communication channels—including the website, newsletter, social media, weekend announcements, and more. Serve as the primary point of contact for all communications-related requests across Trinity.
Brand Management
Oversee the consistent application of Trinity’s branding and style guide across all ministry areas. Protect and promote brand integrity in all internal and external communications.
Communications Project Management
Manage the workflow of all communications requests from start to finish. Utilize Asana to track progress, ensure clear paths to completion, and either take action directly or empower both in-house and contractual team members (e.g., videographers, designers, copywriters) with the necessary vision and direction.
Graphic Design & Creative Oversight
Provide creative direction—and where needed, hands-on design—for all visual communication needs, including all ministry needs and materials, print media, website, church-wide events, and promotional campaigns. Professional graphic design experience is considered a strong asset.
Videography & Photography Direction
Give creative oversight and direction to both in-house and contractual videographers to fulfill Communication requests, ensuring alignment with Trinity’s messaging and priorities while facilitating the timely execution of visual content needs.
Social Media Strategy & Collaboration
Work collaboratively with the Creative Content Curator to guide Trinity’s social media presence. Continue growing the reach and impact of all platforms through strategic direction and shared creativity.
Contractor & Vendor Relationship Management
Oversee relationships with external creative contractors (graphic design, video production, etc.) and ensure they deliver according to Trinity’s standards and vision. Serve as the primary liaison with local print vendors and other key partners.
Online Presence & Digital Profile Oversight
Maintain a strong and effective online presence for Trinity. This includes overseeing the design, content, and user experience of the website, as well as managing related platforms such as Linktree, PCO Publishing, Google Business, LinkedIn, and Indeed.
This position may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts based on church activities.
All applicants will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check. Post open until position filled.
