Wood is recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer - Instrumentation and Controls System to join its Commissioning Services business. This position is focused on onshore and offshore projects in Canada. Weekly Workdays / Rotational Schedule (as required). Authorization to work lawfully in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required.

Commissioning Engineer will be accountable for the commission and start-up of project processing, utility and supporting systems, completing the commissioning work‑scope in a logical and controlled sequence and to the project specifications. Implement Wood's Safety Policies and Procedures throughout the commissioning phases of the project.

Candidate should be a motivated self‑starter with complex problem solving ability. Excellent communication skills and team‑oriented personality required to interface with Engineering, Construction and Operations Teams. A detailed working knowledge of oil and gas process and onshore/offshore facilities is required including: power generation and distribution, control and safety systems, oil and gas separation, turbine driven gas compression, rotating equipment, utility support and lifesaving systems.
