Collision Technician Apprentice

LOCATION

Centennial Carstar Riverview, New Brunswick

HOURS

Full time, Permanent. 40 hours per week.

WAGES

$16.00 - $22.00 per hour (or possible flat rate based on experience) + benefits.

APPLICABLE SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be enrolled in apprenticeship program for Collision Repair
  • Possess technical knowledge of auto body collision and mechanical repairs
  • Previous collision technician experience is not required, but is a strong asset
  • Must be reliable, dependable and show initiative
  • Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Organized and capable of multitasking and prioritizing
  • Physically capable (standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, etc.)
  • Reliable and shows initiative
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
MAIN JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review damage reports and estimates to plan repair work accordingly.
  • Prep cars for paint
  • Small dent repairs
  • Light body work
  • Changing bolt-on parts (i.e., fenders, bumpers, etc.)
  • Assist in detail bays when necessary (prepping for delivery, polishing etc.)
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
  • Possession of own tools (specialty tools provided by the shop as needed).
  • Openness to learn new repair methods and operate new body repair equipment.
  • Other duties as required
