Your Role

As a CNC Operator at Custom Castings, you will:

• Operate CNC Machines: Work with advanced CNC lathes and mills to machine aluminum and zinc castings to precise specifications.
• Interpret Technical Documents: Read and understand technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate production.
• Utilize Precision Instruments: Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to optimize machining processes and implement best practices for aluminum machining.
• Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Proven experience operating CNC lathes and mills, preferably in a setting focused on aluminum machining.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of Aluminum Machining: Understanding of best practices for machining aluminum, including appropriate tool selection, cutting speeds, and feed rates to achieve optimal surface finishes and dimensional accuracy.
• Team Player: Strong collaboration skills with a focus on continuous improvement and adaptability.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts and overtime as needed to meet production demands.
