Job summary

A multi-service agency in Orangeville, Ontario is seeking a Clinical Therapist for a 12-month contract. Job description

Dufferin Child and Family Services is a multi‑service agency that delivers children’s mental health, child protection and developmental support services in Orangeville, Ontario.

12‑Month Contract – Clinical Therapist

Position Summary: The Clinical Therapist works under the supervision of the Clinical Support Team and the Program Manager. The therapist provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services and supports to children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a caregiver‑mediated model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver intervention supports in home, center, daycare or community settings.
  • Follow approved support plans to address identified behaviors.
  • Prepare documentation and submit relevant reports for Behavior Analyst review within established timelines.
  • Administer assessment tools under the guidance of the overseeing Behavior Analyst.
  • Coach and counsel families according to therapy/treatment plans and schedules.
  • Report serious occurrences or concerns to the Program Manager.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client information in accordance with agency policy.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Three (3) years of post‑secondary education in Behavioral Sciences or a related field; Autism Behavioral Sciences Certificate an asset.
  • Experience working with children and youth with complex behavior and mental health needs, particularly ASD.
  • Current CPR, First Aid certificates and non‑violent crisis intervention skills.
  • Availability in the afternoons and evenings.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License (Class G or G2) and reliable vehicle with insurance.
