Overview

Position: Clerk 2 - Primary Care

Under the general guidance of a Designate Primary Health Care Professional and reporting to the Director or Manager Health Services, the Clerk 2 - Primary Care provides clerical support to the department. The incumbent responds to internal and external requests supporting regional services and initiatives and maintains accuracy of regional and local databases. The Clerk 2 collaborates with Primary Care professionals to find and report on department information as needed.

The position requires initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods, and is performed in alignment with the mission, vision, values and policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical support to the Primary Care department.
  • Respond to internal and external requests to support regional services and initiatives.
  • Maintain accuracy of regional and local databases.
  • Collaborate with Primary Care professionals to locate and communicate department information as needed.
Qualifications
Experience
  • Minimum one (1) year full-time equivalent clerical experience within the last five (5) years.
Education
  • Completion of a Business Administration or Office Administration program from an accredited institution.
  • Other suitable combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English/French) is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and equipment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
