What You'll Do Here
  • Dive into both routine and complex claims, analyzing insurance policies to determine coverage and assess fair entitlements.
  • Engage in timely and respectful communication with customers, brokers, claimants, lawyers, and other insurers to effectively resolve claims.
  • Spearhead investigations and settlements of cargo and environmental losses, while managing cases that span across Canada and the US.
  • Collaborate with our Bodily Injury team on significant losses to mitigate exposure and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
What You Bring To The Table
  • University degree or relevant training and experience.
  • CIP designation achieved or in progress.
  • At least 2 years of experience adjusting commercial auto claims; Long Haul Trucking experience is an asset.
  • Expertise in handling moderate to complex claims and practicing effective negotiation.
  • Strong analytical skills with decision-making prowess and excellent time management.
  • Knowledge of provincial legislation governing auto insurance; Atlantic Provincial Licenses are advantageous.
  • A warm, positive attitude with top-notch customer service skills.
  • Willingness to secure Atlantic provincial licenses if not already held.
