Associate Delivery Consultant at Spencer Ogden


Seeking an experienced Civil / Structural Engineer to join our engineering team supporting new nuclear plant development projects. This role involves leading structural design analyses, preparing technical documentation, and ensuring that systems and equipment meet all engineering, quality, and regulatory requirements.


Responsibilities


  • Incorporate design requirements into technical analyses and design documents.

  • Lead and perform evaluations, verifications, and analyses for complex structural systems.

  • Apply engineering expertise to investigate and resolve design and application challenges.

  • Develop drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure products meet engineering and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and suppliers to support project execution.

  • Ensure all work complies with applicable regulatory guides, codes, and industry standards.

  • Deliver high-quality engineering documentation and equipment packages on time and in alignment with project requirements.

  • Perform structural analysis of concrete and steel structures using finite element methods.

  • Conduct seismic and static evaluations, preparing detailed models and technical documentation.

  • Work with industry codes and standards to ensure compliance (examples may include ASCE, ACI, IBC, AISC, etc.).

  • Apply engineering judgment to solve complex design and analysis challenges.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support project milestones and technical reviews.

  • Ensure all work aligns with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards.


Qualifications


  • Experience Civil / Structural Engineer with focus on nuclear plant development projects (preferred).

  • Ability to lead design analyses, prepare technical documentation, and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Proficiency in structural analysis methods, including finite element analysis for concrete and steel structures.

  • Familiarity with seismic and static evaluations and related documentation.

  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASCE, ACI, IBC, AISC, etc.).

  • Strong collaboration skills with internal teams, partners, and suppliers.

  • Demonstrated engineering judgment to address complex design and analysis challenges.

  • Mid-Senior level role, Contract employment.
