Our client, a well-established multidisciplinary engineering and planning firm with a strong presence across Western Canada, is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their Edmonton team.

This opportunity is ideal for a motivated professional who wants to expand their technical expertise across municipal infrastructure, water resources, and land development projects while enjoying meaningful mentorship and career development support. This position is based in Edmonton, Alberta. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to Edmonton for this role.

Responsibilities:
  • As part of a dynamic team, you’ll contribute to the design and delivery of land development and municipal infrastructure projects across the Edmonton region.
  • You will work through all stages of project execution — from preliminary design and regulatory approvals to detailed design, construction, and completion.
  • You will prepare design drawings and reports using AutoCAD Civil 3D, performing stormwater and water distribution designs, conducting site visits, and providing input into contract administration.
  • You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor junior staff, support project managers, and collaborate directly with clients, consultants, and municipal partners to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in Engineering from a recognized school with 5‑8 years of civil engineering experience in land development, municipal infrastructure, roads, and water resources projects.
  • Be immediately qualified to be registered with APEGA or ASET as a P. Eng.
  • Knowledge in municipal, water resources, transportation, and land development engineering design, including design of municipal and related infrastructure, including sewage, water, roads, storm water, and drainage.
  • Experience in construction and contract administration.
  • Familiarity with municipal approvals process in the City of Edmonton and surrounding municipalities.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and build strong client relationships.
