Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Caregiver to provide full-time care and supervision for two children aged 7 and 9. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, responsible, and committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and engaging environment that promotes the children’s overall development.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of two school-aged children at all times.
  • Assist children with daily routines including dressing, meals, homework, and personal hygiene.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, considering any dietary needs.
  • Accompany children to and from school, extracurricular activities, and appointments as required.
  • Organize age-appropriate educational, recreational, and creative activities to promote physical, social, and emotional growth.
  • Support academic development by helping with schoolwork and encouraging good study habits.
  • Foster positive behavior, good manners, and responsibility through consistent guidance.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized home environment, including tidying play areas and children’s bedrooms.
  • Perform light housekeeping related to childcare (laundry, dishwashing, cleaning up after meals).
  • Keep parents informed of children’s progress, routines, and any concerns.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with children in a caregiving or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate learning strategies.
  • Ability to create engaging activities and adapt to children’s needs.
  • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with school-aged children.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with children and parents.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (an asset).
