Chef Manager – Full-Time -Nanaimo

Salary: $70,000 - $76,000 annually

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hrs/week)

Location: 100 Eleventh St, Nanaimo, BC V9R 6R6, Canada

WestCana is seeking a dynamic Chef Manager to oversee the food services and housekeeping teams at our long-term care facility in Nanaimo. This role is ideal for an experienced culinary leader who thrives in high-volume environments and is passionate about supporting seniors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support food services and housekeeping teams

  • Monitor inventory, budgets, and health & safety compliance
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming, and efficient work environment
Qualifications
  • Red Seal Chef certification (required)
  • Leadership experience in food service (healthcare an asset)
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and food safety regulations
  • Food Safe Level 1 & WHMIS certification
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check
