About The Role

Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full Time

Locations: Cambridge, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Norwich, Oxford.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Charity Solicitor to join our Private Client Team based in any one of the locations above.

This is a great opportunity for someone who has the drive and enthusiasm to further their career, build strong client relationships and help to grow our charity practice.

Legal
  • Creating and registering charitable entities
  • Advising charity trustees on their role, duties and powers
  • Advising on charity mergers and transfer of assets
  • Preparing policies and other charity documentation
  • Closing and de-registering charities
  • Working with our property and employment teams on charity matters
  • Liaising with the Charity Commission
  • Advising on charity regulatory issues
Other
  • Working with other team members to provide an excellent client service
  • Engaging in business development and networking activities
  • Supervising and training junior team members
A little about you
  • Experience of dealing with charities of different sizes
  • Uses own judgement but may need supervision at differing levels of transaction
  • Identifies the legal principles relevant to the area of practice and applies them appropriately
  • Uses experience to check the information provided
  • Goes the extra mile and produces good quality work
  • Approachable and able to develop and build relationships with clients and colleagues
