Position Summary:

Reporting to the Operations Manager of Allied Health Services, the Certified Rehab Assistant (CRA) is responsible for providing client care procedures under the direction of professional staff. The CRA supports the Rehabilitation Program by delivering client-related services, assisting with non-client care functions to maintain and enhance the program, and performing other duties as assigned. All employees must comply with safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and promote a safe work environment in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety standards.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of one year recent related health care experience - preferred
  • Relevant training or experience in rehabilitation - preferred
  • Experience working with the geriatric population - preferred
  • Knowledge of safe lifting, transfer, and ambulating techniques - required
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Organizational and task prioritization skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Proficiency in French is an asset
Education and Certification:
  • Certified Rehabilitation Assistant certificate or equivalent - required
  • CPR certification - required
  • BCLS certification - preferred
