You have a natural ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical & instrumentation issues and you're looking to expand your knowledge with an amazing company where safety and sustainability are the most important priorities. As a Certified Instrument Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:

• Following Canfor’s safe work and lockout procedures to meet the highest safety standards
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with team members and other departments
• Installing, calibrating, maintaining, and tuning equipment to ensure peak performance
• Troubleshooting and resolving instrumentation and control system issues as they arise

For this role, we are looking for candidates who have:

• Journeyperson Instrument Mechanic certification within the province of British Columbia and/or Interprovincial Red Seal certification
• Experience in Process Controls, DCS, Instrumentation, Valves & Valve repairs, and Transmitter Installation & Calibrations
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Solid background in heavy industry and construction
• Knowledge of the pulp and paper industry is an asset, as is an electrical trade background

The hourly rate for this position is: $48.66
