Care Assistant

Hours of work 7-12, 12-5, 5-10. 30 Hours Per week / 20 Hours per week. Every other weekend rota basis.

Summary of duties
  • Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals.
  • Security checks and wellbeing checks.
  • Allocated tasks.
  • Contributing to residents’ care plans, with a demonstrable understanding of holistic care.
  • Building effective relationships with relatives and next of kin in order to fully support the delivery of high-quality care to residents.
Skills required
  • Ideally you will have previous experience working in a care / care home environment and an understanding of dementia and person centered care.
  • Mandatory training and the care certificate will be provided for newcomers to the care sector.
  • A positive and can-do attitude is essential.
