Job summary

A virtual aviation organization is seeking a Division Director for VATCAN. This role demands strong leadership and management of the VATCAN Division, including enhancing training programs and establishing partnerships. Applicants should be familiar with Canadian ATC operations, committed to a strong online presence, and able to communicate effectively. A minimum C1 rating in the VATSIM Network is required along with managerial experience. Applications are accepted until April 30, 2018, and candidates must be prepared to work at least 5 hours weekly.

Qualifications

  • Minimum C1 rating and in good standing within the VATSIM Network.
  • Commitment to maintaining a strong online presence and working 5 hours per week.
  • Fluency in French is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, and vision to Division staff.
  • Monitor and enhance division programs like training and membership.
  • Invite applications and appoint qualified personnel.
  • Improve the infrastructure of the Division, including website and social media.
  • Review ATC progression and ensure prompt actions on upgrade recommendations.
  • Maintain an online presence of ATC and seek growth opportunities.
  • Develop partnerships with Virtual Airlines for collaboration.
  • Arrange events within the division and with adjacent regions.
  • Compile quarterly reports for the Regional Director.
