Overview
As a Campus Programs Specialist, you will play a significant role in leading the approach for all student activities & recruitment across JDI. With a focus on building the student talent pipeline, & enhancing the student experience across the J.D. Irving, Limited group of companies, the Campus Programs Specialist oversees the coordination of campus activities and owns all elements of the corporate student program. In addition, the Campus Programs Specialist supports the recruitment process owner with maintenance of the recruitment process, system and data for JDI.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field
- 3-5 years related experience in Human Resources and/or recruitment
- Experience in student recruitment and employment/brand campaigns
- Strong presentation, influencing, attention to detail, & organizational skills
- Customer focused with exceptional interpersonal & communication skills
- Process thinking, continuous improvement, and the ability/experience to independently lead projects
- Energetic self-starter who enjoys working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to travel occasionally
Responsibilities
- Student Recruitment
- Oversee the execution of the JDI corporate student program to ensure planned deliverables are met & students get exposure to the company, receive senior leadership interaction, & professional development learning opportunities
- Strengthen relationships with existing educational partners & seek opportunities to develop new partnerships to meet the growing workforce needs
- Design & implement initiatives that continue to support & grow JDI’s on campus presence
- Ensure the student recruitment process is optimized, efficient, and effective, providing an exceptional experience for all candidates
- Lead collaboration between & among JDI businesses to create a cohesive student message on campus and across the organization
- Partner with JDI businesses to understand their student talent needs
- Develop and maintain key program metrics such as student retention and conversion rates.
- Lead the Student Next Step process to retain top student talent.

- General Recruitment Support
- Support recruitment platforms and vendors (e.g., VidCruiter, LinkedIn, Indeed, Pearson, CDAT, Predictive Index).
- Create and maintain training materials and process documentation.
- Provide guidance and training to business units on recruitment processes.
- Audit the Careers site for compliance and accuracy.
- Generate recruitment reports and monitor KPIs.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in recruitment technology and workflows.
